We had big plans for this meeting with a members 10 year celebrations meal however it was not meant to be as the area unfortentally experience a power cut due to the previous bad weather!

But we didn't let this dampen our spirits as the show must go on! This field venue is one we have visited most years as it always offers us good running come rain or shine, and thankfully we experienced fair weather!

During the warm up to the meeting the weather was typcial Exmoor wet and misty weather making us worry about the weather report but the rain held of for the running and settled back in once we left the field - someone was looking after us!

Our slipper Duncan Nicholls who has graced our field over several years and taken excellent care of our whippets in the slips over this time, hung up his SWC slips and retired from our fields.

Duncan will be greatly missed, but happy retirement!
