Becoming a member and registering your whippet

For your whippet to be eligible to compete you firstly need to become a club member. Membership runs from the 1st January each year to the 31st December of the same year. Please complete the online membership application.

Every whippet must have a Passport to be eligible to compete. Before being eligible for a passport, every whippet must be proven to run safely with another whippet in a muzzle, and from slips.

Your whippet will need to trial at a meeting to ensure that it runs true to the lure and is happy to run in a muzzle. Then it will need to come out of slips with another whippet and run the course without intefering or trying to play with the other whippet, and for this to be witnessed by at least two SWC committee members

Passports are easy to obtain, simply complete the online registration form and email the required photos and fees
