Thank you to everyone who came to the West Country for our last open meeting of the season. We had a lovely entry of 36 making 6 stakes, including 5 new competitors.

The forecast was sort of right, we had the dry and cloudy with sunny spells, but they forgot to mention the relentless cold wind that cut to the core! However the warm atmosphere and copious amounts of hot tea dealt with that!

Congratulations to all the winners, rinners up, and those that did enough to take a spot in next month's Finals. There really was some cracking sport. Dog of the Day has to go to Ryemeadows Rags, who surprised her owners just winning her first round then went on to win second round only to be beaten by her kennel mate Ryemeadows Zara in a very tight final. Best I've ever seen her run, well done!

.... So to next month, the climax of the season! As well as the Trophy Stakes, we will again be running supporters stakes for puppies (12-24 months on the day), mixed adults and veterans (7 and over). Places in these stakes will be limited so be quick getting your entries in! Its going to be a brilliant day, so you would be foolish to miss it!
