Wednesday 27th July

For a second year Sporting Whippet Club were invited to put on demos and trials at Dunster Country Fair. It is a really fun day in a glorious setting. The forecast had threatened rain but we were again blessed with warm sunshine.

The plan was to run 2 whippet stakes and a lurcher stake. Last year there were a lot of lurchers around the show, however this year we saw far fewer, and only a couple that were able to enter the competition, however they were a brilliantly matched pair and it was great to have them take part. Hopefully next year we will be able to drum up a few more and fill an 8 dog stake.

Here are a few snaps of a lovely day. Hope to be back next year!
